If anyone likes Rammstein, remove the metal element and you have Hatari. An electronic-driven punch in the face. Sure it's in Icelandic, but this is what makes the release even more personal... and brutal.
Excellent anti-capitalist electronic music with a BDSM inspired stage presence. The EP "Neysluvara" (translates to product for consumption) is a stunning debut and features lyrics inspired by the ethos among the younger generation in Iceland's post recession economy. What Hatari does well is communicate the lack of faith in a system they feel indentured to. The album is as full of hopelessness as it is of fiery rage against capitalism in society.
I haven't seen their EP for a long time. Where'd you find it?
I got my copy from a record store in Reykjavik for 20 EUR.Bargain.
This review is more occupied than the West Bank. You're allowed to not buy it.
Or you buy it digitally for €4 at Bandcamp.
Hermann either put in 2 zeroes too much as in considering the price you wanted to ask for is in icelandic krónar or he really thinks someone will pay a months salary for this.. ;)
In this society we are forced to sell out eventually, what matters is how much you sell out for.
- Praises band for being "anti-capitalist".- Sells their cd for 1,771 euros. How smart you must be...
